Vans

Just like the brand Converse, Vans have not become obsolete and are being used almost anywhere. People tend not to ask themselves where Vans originated from and who were the creators of such shoe brand. Let’s look deeply into the brand, Vans.

It all began in March 16, 1966 where Paul Van Doren established the first Van store in California. Vans was a rubber shoe made for the public to buy and wear. Later, The shoe brand was recognized by many skateboarders and was being worn all over southern California. Vans were taken notice by athletes so they took the opportunity to make them shoes for basketball players, wrestlers and skydivers. The fact that Vans became known, teens and adults use them for daily uses.

Now Like every shoe Vans have their logo too. It includes a skateboard that says Vans. Not only do they have a logo but they have a quote “Off the wall.”Behind every shoe in the bottom, the logo is located there.  Look for it!

How to Find the Perfect Shoe

Is it difficult to choose a pair of shoes? Do you know what you are looking for? Do you know if they are the right type shoes for you? or if they would be easy to handle.

First,  look at the shoe type . Check if it is an active wear, sneaker, boot, or heel. By checking what type of shoes they are it will give you an idea of what type of shoe you are looking for.  

Second, focus on what type of platform or heel they have, this will help you determine if you will be able to handle the type of shoe. If the heel is way to high (5in) they will be way too tiring, whereas an average size (3in) will be easy to walk in. If there is no heel, that type of shoe would allow you to wear them almost anywhere. There are many platform sizes, for example a sneaker has a full platform and a heel has a small or long platform. By knowing the platform size you will be able understand whether you can walk in them or not. If you look at the image below small heels have a longer platform than big heels.

Third, when looking for a color, think about your wardrobe and the most common color you use. If you use mostly use colored outfits, get basic color shoes. If you use non-colorful outfits choose colored shoes. By determining a color you will be able to wear your new shoes often.

Remember this, that choosing a shoe matters. You have to know if you will be able to walk in them, if you will use them often, if they will not be too tiring. The steps above will help you find the perfect shoe for you.

Converse

Converse are still famous until today and have not become obsolete. In 1908 was when Canvas got first established they changed their name to All Stars in 1920. Even today they remain as All Stars or Converse. These shoes were designed out of rubber for athlete players who jumped in courts. As a result, All Stars were worn anywhere and anytime.

When All Stars were first introduced and made for athletes, Charles Taylor (aka Chuck Taylor) had the idea to speak about the brand. He liked the ankle cover on the shoe. And when they were first made, some shoes included leather. Chuck was a basketball who transferred to the converse league from the Akron Firestones. In 1949, his name was written on the high tops.

Converse are also worn by many famous artist and actors. The image above shows Kristen Stewart, Miley Cyrus, and Taylor swift wearing converse. This image somewhat shows that All Stars are Famous.

If you look around, you would see a 70% of students wearing converse in your school, job, and event.
